K.A.A.N starts out with the hook, “All I got is my pain/ Come watch me drown in my sorrows/ I’m petrified of today and I pray I don’t wake tomorrow”, which is pretty dark. Whoever made it did a pretty nice job anyways. ![]() Some of these tracks have production credits and some don’t, so maybe we can assume they were made by K.A.A.N himself or because this is a remix, as said in the song title, it’s just the original beat, but I have no idea what song he is remixing. The instrumental has some nice claps and some sort of electronic bells, and I have no idea who made it. The beat is very bright and happy I would say, which is interesting because of the juxtaposition of how depressing and negative about himself he can be on this song, and throughout the whole record. The tape starts out with Sorrow (Syrup RMX). Abstract Art is his very first project, and because of how amazing this debut mixtape is, I would say K.A.A.N fits the description “best of the unknown” perfectly. K.A.A.N is a rapper from Maryland and I was put onto him by a friend, who, I guess, scourges the underbelly of independent artists to find the best of the unknown.
